Best Delonghi Toasters - A Review

DeLonghi is another name that is quite popular as a kitchen appliance manufacturer. They make a number of items although most of them have something to do with warming food, like ovens, toasters etc. Their toasters are popular because they are not too expensive but come with an all stainless steel finish which means durability. They have only 4 models to choose from, their 2 slice, 4 slice and their adjustable toasters. All of them are reviewed below.

CTH2003 2 slice toaster

This is their top selling model simply because it gives you a stainless steel finished product while still keeping the price competitive. Their store prices are just around $60 which in itself is a great deal considering that most other manufacturers charge at least $20 more for a stainless steel finished one. The controls are however very basic although it does have a rotary thermostat to set your temperature.

CTH4003 4 slice toaster

Just as in most other models the 4 slice model is just two 2 slice models joined together. However it looks like DeLonghi has actually designed their 4 slice model first and then split it into two 2 slice ones because their 4 slice model actually looks better than their 2 slice one. At just under $80 it is one of the cheapest stainless steel 4 slice models that are available in the market. Once again their controls are just the same as the previous model and they have the push-to-open crumb tray, just like in the CTH2003. This model however makes a better deal because it costs just $20 more than the CTH2003 but gives you 4 slices to its two.

DTT720 2 slice toaster

This model is their fully automatic model which means that the bread just needs to be dropped in. It is raised and lowered by itself. It also has a number of other controls as well as a defrost and bagel functions. The unique thing about this toaster is that it has an LED timer that counts down letting you know when your toast is going to get ready. It also takes the toast back into the toaster if it has not been removed within 8 seconds to keep it warm. At around $80 it is almost as expensive as the 4 slice toaster which is why most people prefer to go with that rather than this model.

DTT312 Adjustable toaster

This model is one of the most unique in the market because it is the only toaster that allows you to warm or toast sandwiches. It has a unique adjustable system on top with which you can increase or decrease the width of the slot. It also has a unique sandwich tray that you put in before you start to toast your sandwiches directly. It also gives you up to 10 different settings. It is however one of the least selling in their line up simply because it costs around $130, and although you can toast your sandwiches directly, it is just too much to pay for what is essentially a 2 slice toaster with frills.
